This policy explains what SKIP – Track Money You Keep collects, why it is needed, which services process it, and the controls you have.
1. The short version
- SKIP does not connect to your bank and does not store full payment-card details.
- We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
- Signed-in and guest app data is stored in Supabase. Account-level database policies restrict access to the owner.
- You can export history and delete your account inside the app.
2. Data you provide
We process information you enter or choose to provide:
- Account data: email address, sign-in provider identifier, display name, and avatar choice.
- Financial-habit data: save and expense cards, amounts, decisions, dates, recurring schedules, goals, vehicles, and service subscriptions.
- Support data: the email address and message you submit through feedback and support.
- Purchase data: subscription product, entitlement status, renewal state, and store transaction identifiers. Payment details remain with Google Play or the App Store.
3. Data collected automatically
- Crash diagnostics: Sentry may receive app version, device type, operating system, stack trace, and technical state needed to diagnose a failure. SKIP disables default personal information, screenshots, request bodies, cookies, and authorization headers in crash reports.
- Security and service logs: Supabase and other infrastructure providers may record network metadata such as IP address and request time for security and reliability.
- Approximate location: only when you enable automatic fuel prices. Coordinates are converted to a state or region on your device and are not saved by SKIP. The region is sent to request a regional fuel-price average.
- Brand search: text entered when searching for a custom service logo may be sent to our server and Brandfetch on the first lookup. Results are cached so later searches normally use SKIP’s database.
4. Why we use data
We use data to provide sync, history, totals, goals, reminders, service tracking and Pro features; authenticate accounts; validate purchases and restore entitlements; answer support requests; diagnose crashes; maintain security; comply with legal obligations; and prevent abuse.
5. Service providers
SKIP uses Supabase for authentication, database storage and server functions; RevenueCat and Google Play or the Apple App Store for purchases and subscription status; Sentry for privacy-filtered crash diagnostics; Expo for builds and updates; Resend for transactional, support and opt-in weekly email; Brandfetch for first-time brand lookup; and the U.S. Energy Information Administration for regional fuel-price data.
These providers process information only for their role and under their own terms. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where they operate. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect users, the service, or our legal rights.
6. Security
- Network traffic uses HTTPS/TLS where supported by the service.
- Supabase row-level security restricts app records to the authenticated account that owns them.
- Session credentials are stored through the device keychain or keystore.
- Server credentials and private API keys are kept in backend secrets and are not bundled in the app.
No online service can promise perfect security. If we learn of a breach that requires notice, we will notify affected users and authorities as required by applicable law.
7. Retention, export, and deletion
We keep account data while the account is active and as needed to operate the service, resolve security issues, or meet legal obligations. History available inside the app may be limited by the plan and product rules shown to you.
Profile → Delete account permanently removes the user and user-owned Supabase records and requests deletion of the RevenueCat customer. Some processors, app stores, email providers, and security logs may retain limited records for fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance under their own retention rules.
You can download history from Insights. To ask about access, correction, deletion, or another privacy right, contact us.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal information. You may withdraw optional location or notification permission in device settings. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
9. Children
SKIP is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when SKIP or its providers change. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and the effective date will be updated.
